Creating & Using a Wedding Website

Consider including the web address in your invitation. Placement is key - you want your guests to have the website with them after they return their RSVP...however many feel a website integrated into your actual invite text ruins the formality. Consider include the website in your Directions, Accommodations, etc. inserts. OR - include a business card-size insert with the wedding website. To be a bit trendy....try even a "half business card" slip of card stock with your wedding website on it. You don't even need text if you don't want - guests will see the website address & visit out of curiosity

Taking out the "www" portion of your website URL may add a bit of style to this modern addition.
www.kateandjeremy.theknot.com...try instead...kateandjeremy.theknot.com
(thanks to the power of the search engine...your guests will still be able to find your site.)
Some Couples ask guests to RSVP via their wedding website.
Keep in mind - those guests who many not have internet access or not feel comfortable using the internet to RSVP. I highly recommend including a phone number if this is how you would like to handle RSVP's...this allows guests a means to reach out in case they are having difficulty.

If your invitation is getting crowded, a business-card-size insert card could be used to list your website.
Consider using the following websites when you build your site:

Including information about both the Bride & Groom and how you have arrived at this special occasion is appreciated by your guests.....especially those who have not meet either the Bride, Groom or both. Each couple has a unique style. Often we give up some of our "fun and free" for etiquette and formality during our wedding. Use your website to show the word who you are as a couple. This will allow guests to know who they are clelebrating when they arrive at the wedding....and HOPEFULLY...when they are debating a blue damask china serving dish or a hot orange blender...they will know which suits your style.
